What You Need to Get Started

Active Sharekhan Trading Account

A fully KYC-verified Sharekhan account with F&O (Futures & Options) segment enabled.

Sharekhan API Access

API Key and Secret Key from the Sharekhan Developer Portal. API access must be enabled on your account.

Sufficient Margin / Funds

Adequate margin in your trading account to cover NIFTY options positions. SPAN + Exposure margin requirements apply.

Stable Internet Connection

The strategy runs during live market hours. Any connectivity interruption may affect order placement or SL monitoring.

Understanding of Options Trading

You should understand how options (calls, puts, premiums, expiry) and short strangle strategies work before using this tool.

Weekly Expiry Awareness

The strategy trades NIFTY weekly contracts. You should be aware of expiry schedules and the heightened volatility near expiry.

Trading Risk Warning

Options trading — particularly short strategies like a short strangle — carries substantial risk of loss, including the possibility of losing more than your initial investment. Options can expire worthless or result in unlimited losses on uncovered short positions.
